One of the most entertaining books on golf that I have read is Rick Reilly’s “Who’s Your Caddy”. Reilly documents his time caddying for various golfers including Donald Trump. John Daly. Tom Lehman. and Jack Nicklaus. Reilly recounts his experiences caddying for each golfer for one round in a humorous and revealing way. In many cases. the behavior of the golfer in question falls in line with their normal perception. For example. Donald Trump is every bit as flamboyant on the course as off it. In other cases. Reilly opens the eyes of his readers. introducing a side to professional golfers that not many people know exist like the “competition” between Tom Lehman and Bernhard Langer to be the friendliest player on tour. “Who’s Your Caddy” is a must read for any serious golf fan.

Having the proper grip is crucial to hitting good golf shots. but a lot of amateur golfers have poor grips that are causing them to spray the ball all over the place. If you have problems with your grip or lack confidence with the way you hold the club. try this tip for improving your golf grip. The most common problem with the grip is that golfers hold the club too much in the palm of their hands. making it difficult to square the club at impact. In order to fix this. the club needs to be gripped more in the fingers. Instead of taking your grip with your hands facing upwards. take it with your palms facing down. This will encourage you to take the grip more in the fingers. leading to better control of the club face.

Have you ever watched a big golf tournament and wondered to yourself what makes those guys so good? They are good at their jobs for many reasons, one of the most important of which is their swing planes. Each has a golf swing plane that produces power and accuracy. Though they will sometimes make mistakes, their golf swing plane will typically be solid throughout a tournament.

For these guys, it all starts with a solid shoulder turn. They come around the golf ball, which gives them power and a better ball flight. Instead of trying to crush the ball using their hands and their hips. they let the shoulders swing the club. This type of golf swing plane will serve you well as you attempt to climb higher in your own game.

“If that guy was so good, he would be out on tour!” This might be your attitude on teaching pros, but you are massively understating their ability. A good teacher can provide a professional golf lesson that will open your eyes to all that you have been missing. If you are a poor golfer, then you likely have no idea what it’s like to hit a high, soft-landing shot that finds its target. Though a professional golf lesson won’t be a golden ticket to success, it will help you get there over time.

These guys have both the knowledge and the technical teaching experience to help you. They are schooled on little drills and small tips that can make improving your game much easier. After a quick lesson, you will understand the value of professional instruction.

What is one thing they have in common that makes their golf swings so great… Most people would talk about their unique. NATURAL golf swings. Everything looks so free. easy. and effortless. Moreover. their swings are unique. idiosyncratic. matching their body types and personalities. One of the most under-emphasized instruction points in golf today is making a natural golf swing. We get so hung up on hand positions. posture angles. and club fitting that we forget something incredible: there are as many ways to swing a golf club as there are golfers. All good golf swings share some major traits in common. such as consistent contact. body rotation. and balance. However. it’s always important to remember that a good golf instructor will work with the swing that is most natural for you. rather than trying to conform you to someone else’s.

Is it really necessary to take beginner golf lessons even if you’re not serious about the game? Absolutely! Taking beginner golf lessons are crucial to playing the game well. By taking a golf lesson, you never have the chance to develop bad habits. Instead, a proper instructor will show you the correct mechanics and techniques to hit a golf ball correctly. Most commonly, beginners start by learning how to grip a club correctly and how to set up in the proper stance. If you can do these two things correctly, you’re well on your way to being able to make good contact with the ball. Most bad shots are the result of having a poor setup. Taking a beginner golf lessons ensures that you will always have a good setup.

If your goal is to improve, then you need to be on the lookout for every possible resource. Smart golfers know that you can never rest and that there are always ways to get better. Maybe it is your sand game that needs work. Perhaps a new putting grip could shave strokes. A golf tips magazine can show you these little things and potentially help your game.

Know that a golf tips magazine will not completely fix your issues. It will only provide little pointers and ideas that you can try out on the practice range. Take what you read and give it a shot. If you find that a new stance or a slight change in grip is what you are looking for, then you will have found an unconventional fix for your high scores.

Shots out of divots are difficult to play since the ball is sitting below the surface of the ground. By following these golf swing tips, you play from a divot without fear.

If you want the ball to come out of the divot and chase up to the green, play the ball back in your stance and take one more club.

If you want to fly the ball to the green and land it softly, try playing the ball forward in your stance with one less club than normal. Swing out to in with an open face to play a small fade. The ball should fly high and land soft.

One of the main misconceptions about the golf swing is that there is a perfect golf swing. The fact of the matter is that there is no perfect golf swing. Every golfer has his own unique build and body type. Even with modern instruction, every golfer will have small nuances to his swing. It may resemble other golf swings, but the swing is still his own.

Instead of focusing on the perfect golf swing, it’s more beneficial to focus on the swing that feels comfortable to you. Consistency is the key to golf. No matter how ugly your swing is, as long as it produces repeatable and predictable results, you are well on your way to scoring well. Remember, what works for one golfer will not necessarily work for you.
