One of the main causes of the slice is the incorrect rotation of the arms in the backswing. When the arms rotate incorrectly and too much, this action causes the face of the golf club to fan open. An open club face at the top of the swing will lead to an open club face at the impact potion, which will cause a slice.

One golf tip that may help to fix the slice is to make sure that the back of the left hand (in a right handed golfer) faces the golf ball during the backswing. This ensures that the face remains neutral or slightly closed at the top, which will stop the slice. At the top of the swing, the left wrist should be flat instead of cupped.

Club speed is the primary determinant of distance produced by the golf swing, as well as being the most easily correctable problem in an individual’s swing.

Most mid-to-high handicappers need to slow down both main components of the swing, paricularly the backswing. Rushing the backswing reduces the accuracy of the foreswing , resulting in poor clubhead directional alignment before impact, as well as mis-alignment on the clubface, i.e. failure to hit the “sweetspot”.

Lessons may not be required, as golf buddies can easily spot tendencies to speed up the backswing and/or to overdo the foreswing in an attempt to achieve ego-satisfying distance.

Once a comfortable and suitable swing speed is achieved, the golfer that seeks to maximize effectiveness might want to have that speed timed. Swing speed measurement can be used to help select the proper golf club shafts (firm to flexible) to suit an individual’s swing speed.

As an alternative to free golf tips, here’s a free checklist of mistakes that may be causing the slice.

• You placed the ball too far forward in your stance.

• You have misaligned your shoulders and feet to the left of the target line.

• Your hands may be gripping the club too tight, which can cause the next item.

• You may be turning your left hand too far to the left. Make sure the “V” between your knuckle and thumb points toward your right shoulder.

• Your backswing is not straight.

• Your shoulder is “flying out” during the downswing, moving the club off the target line.

You’ve read tips for your driving, tips for your putting, and tips for every other aspect of your golf game. But here are some general tips you can follow all the time with every golf swing.

In every swing, use an even tempo, remain balanced, and let the club swing through to the end.

Keep your back foot firmly planted during both the backswing and the downswing, and don’t shift your weight to the front until your swing demands it.

Let your shoulders and hips stay level as you go into your backswing, and, on the downswing, rotate your hips open towards the direction of your ball’s path. Extend your arms through the hitting area.

And don’t keep your eye on the ball — keep your eyes behind the ball.

When most people ask for golf driving tips. they have one major question: “How can I bomb it…”

Many golfers try to swing harder in order to increase their club head speed. Instead. the average golfer would benefit from trying to establish a good. relaxed rhythm. When you watch professional golfers. it may appear to you that they are not swinging hard. This is because they have such great rhythm and tempo.

Try to establish a smooth rhythm by counting to “1″ on your backswing. then to “2″ on your downswing. There is nothing wrong with hitting smooth 240 yard drives squarely down the fairway. Once you can do this consistently. you might then consider trying to add distance! Getting this nice rhythm is probably worth more than all of the popular golf driving tips in the world.

Here are three tips to help correct your slice.

Golf Instruction: Slice Tip #1

Improper stances cause slices. Focus on your posture. Make certain that your stance is wide enough, and that you’ve aligned your shoulders with the target. Keep the elbows natural and relaxed.

Golf Instruction: Slice Tip #2

If the stance is right, it’s time to focus on the grip. Ensure that you’re gripping the club properly. However, the most common problem is gripping the club too tightly. You must accentuate relaxing your hands.

Golf Instruction: Slice Tip #3

If the stance and the grip are correct, then the problem exists in your backswing. If the problem is here, then there’s a good chance your hands are coming to far inside at the hip. Focus on going over the hands on the backswing.

A golf swing is something that people will pay hundreds of dollars for. Here is the proper way to swing a golf club. You need to position yourself in a straight line with your target. The target in this case is the flag. Now stand parallel to the line that you have made. Place the ball just in front of your right hand as you’re lined up to it. Your backswing is going to start with the rotation of your body, not with raising your hands or arm. Make sure your motion is consistent as you come back. Now you’re going to swing through the ball with a natural motion. The key is too let the club do all of the work.

The correct golf-swing speed for individuals is like snowflakes—no two are the same.

Some players swing with a quick tempo and others are slow and deliberate; in general, slower is better.

The transition from backswing to downswing is the most-critical part of every golf swing; this is usually determined by how fast the backswing is. You should try and make your backswing smooth and deliberate, not quick and jerky.

Once you’ve begun your downswing, it’s out of your control. If you’ve taken a controlled and smooth backswing, your chance of having the correct golf-swing speed on your downswing will increase.

Try and focus on an ever-so-slight hesitation before you begin your transition from backswing to downswing; if you can do this, you’ll be on your way to better golf.

To build the perfect golf swing you must breakdown your swing into several parts. First, you need to develop an athletic golf stance. The perfect golf swing will require you to look at your backswing, your downswing, and finally, your followthrough.

The backswing involves coiling your body to provide the torque you will need to drive the ball. It is best to develop a steady backswing that involves coiling your body as opposed to swinging your arms. Most consider the golf stance and backswing to be the most crucial parts to developing your swing. If you have proper mechanics for these two parts of your swing, the downswing and follow through should be successful because of the work you have already done to developing the perfect golf swing.

Professional golf swings vary as much as the body’s of the touring professionals who wield them. Each individual will have forms or lines unique to their body-type and instruction, though some key elements seem to cross over through many if not all the successful players. Golfers at the elite level all make fantastic, consistent contact with the ball without going over the top. The swing path of a professional golfer fires directly through what is called the “impact zone” and towards the target. Regardless of the path they may take to the top of their backswing and finishing though, professional golfers will fire their clubs down the target line while keeping their face square at impact and through contact. This consistency through the hitting zone is why so many similarly shaped divots are generated.
