A Great Golf Chipping Tip

Posted in Uncategorized on July 25th, 2011 by admin – 1,340 Comments

Chipping is one of the most controversial topics when it comes to golf instruction. Many golf instructors feel you should switch clubs based on the situation. That might make sense for a player of their caliber, but what they often don’t realize is that most golfers are at the beginner or intermediate level. This means they should be sticking with the same golf club at all times. This allows a golfer to improve muscle memory based on the size, swing speed and weight of that particular club. While certain situations might call for a different club, it’s best to stick with equipment your body is familiar with. This will always lead to better results in the long run, which makes sticking with the same club one of the best golf chipping tips you will receive.

Many golfers have given up on traditional golf lessons due to cost. While an in-person golf lesson with a talented and experienced pro will almost always get you results, another great option is to rent or buy a golf lesson DVD. Luckily, when it comes to golf lesson DVDs, it’s difficult to go wrong. Golfers know who is who, as well as quality from garbage. Therefore, only the best golf DVDs survive. If you want to buy a golf DVD and you would like to start out simple, consider the self-titled Phil Mickleson DVD. After that, consider Swing Simply Short Game by Scott Barrett. And if you want one of the best golf DVDs ever produced, consider renting or purchasing Tom Watson’s Lessons of a Lifetime, which is an excellent and educational two-disc set.

Choosing The Best Golf Driver Is A Unique Process For Each Person

Posted in Uncategorized on August 20th, 2010 by admin – 1,431 Comments

I’ve been having some trouble with my equipment, and I recently asked my trainer for some golf driver help. I basically just wanted some advice from him about which kind of driver to buy. He actually didn’t have an answer for me, but he reminded me about how personal the choice of a driver can be.

The process of choosing the right driver is going to vary so much from one player to the next that getting golf driver help from another person isn’t usually going to work out. In the end, I found a driver that suited my needs without any help, and things worked out for the best.

Among The All Time Best Golf Tips, Putting Strategies Help The Most

Posted in Uncategorized on August 17th, 2010 by admin – 789 Comments

Among the all time best golf tips, putting strategies help the most. This is because players of all ages can perform this most basic golf activity. There are even golf courses devoted to this club ? the miniature or putt-putt variety that most young kids are introduced to during the summer months.

The hardest part about putting is being able to properly read the greens. Since even the professional have trouble with this, getting the proper speed is the best option. On long putts it has always been advised to mentally picture a 3 foot circle around the hole and try to get the ball into this ring. A short putt then ensues, which is much easier than a longer one. Maybe the best advice is to always putt at the hole.

Golf Swing Tips

Those who have trouble with their swing often ask for golf swing tips. While everyone’s swing is different, there are a few rules of thumb that every golfer should consider in order to improve their swing.

When you swing, always keep your eye on the ball. Many golfers catch themselves looking forward or up when they swing, but you won’t be able to make solid contact without keeping your eye directly on the ball. Trust me; this is one of the best golf swing tips you’ll ever get. Another good tip is to not swing too hard; remember that you are holding a golf club, not a baseball bat. Swing with confidence, but don’t swing harder than you have to.

Golf Swing Lessons by Email?

I’m still in that transition from novice to intermediate golfer. On some days, I look amazing. On other days, I probably don’t belong on the course. The golf swing lessons I have taken in the past have been a tremendous help. I’d like to keep taking them. However, with a new, more demanding job and the second child on the way, time constraints don’t really allow for it. I recently discovered that many golf pros offer golf swing lessons online. It’s a neat way of going about it. With the help of my wife, I record my best golf swing, and then I email it to the golf pro. He gives me the golf swing lessons in the form of a written evaluation. It’s not as good as being there in person, but it will do for the time being.

The best books about golf.

There is a lot of debate out there about what might be the best golf book of all time. In my opinion, it would have to be “Ben Hogan’s 5 Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf”. This book is very useful, and a great starting point for any new golfer to examine. It’s a true classic of the genre, and I think it’s a very easy choice for the best golf book ever. I would also say that “Bobby Jones on Golf” is another wonderful choice for the beginning golfer, and should probably be tucked somewhere on any golf enthusiast’s shelf.

One Of The Best Golf Instruction Drills For Beginners

Posted in Uncategorized on January 27th, 2010 by admin – 1,147 Comments

If you’ve never played golf before and are looking to get involved in the greatest game on earth, then you should begin with the most basic golf instruction drills. The best part about these drills is that you don’t need to go out on a golf course to put them to use. If there’s a patch of grass near you, you have all you need.

One of the best golf instruction drills is to place a tee in the grass and swing the club as if the tee is your target. Not only is the tee a much smaller target than a ball — which will make it seem easier when you attempt to hit a ball — but it will also force you to keep your clubhead low to the ground. This will help you avoid those embarrassing whiffs when you’re playing for real.

The Best Golf Instruction DVD Set Imaginable

I recently picked up one of the best golf instruction DVD packages I’ve ever seen. Sponsored by a number of professional golf athletes, this collection features three discs that go through each step of the game to ensure that you have the best skills possible. Like I said, as the best golf instruction DVD collection I’ve ever seen, it starts off by simply teaching you about the drive, works through each club you could possibly use and eventually even goes into changes in wind direction and the texture of the course. I can thoroughly recommend this as the best golf instruction DVD set imaginable.
