The following situation is one every golfer has found themselves in at one time or another. You’re about to hit a 9-iron but you will really have to muscle up to get it to the green. The problem is that if you move to an 8-iron, it might be too much club and get you into even more trouble. Many golfers wonder what the correct answer is in this situation. The answer is a lot easier than you might have imagined, which is to always go with more club. So, in this instance, you would hit the 8-iron. You can always reduce your swing with more club, whereas you cannot add to your maximum swing with less club. Using more club will also lead to a smoother swing because you won’t want to do too much.

One of the main misconceptions about the golf swing is that there is a perfect golf swing. The fact of the matter is that there is no perfect golf swing. Every golfer has his own unique build and body type. Even with modern instruction, every golfer will have small nuances to his swing. It may resemble other golf swings, but the swing is still his own.

Instead of focusing on the perfect golf swing, it’s more beneficial to focus on the swing that feels comfortable to you. Consistency is the key to golf. No matter how ugly your swing is, as long as it produces repeatable and predictable results, you are well on your way to scoring well. Remember, what works for one golfer will not necessarily work for you.

In the full golf swing, almost all problems are the result of having a faulty backswing. More often than not, high handicap golfers tend to take the club too far to the inside. What this does is that it makes the swing plane too flat and around the body. As a result, the golfer ends up with the club behind him and under plane. From the top of the swing, the golfer has no choice but to reroute the club, producing an out to in swing. When this happens, the golfer will either slice or hit a pull hook, neither of which is a good result. In order to hit straight and powerful shots, the club needs to be taken back down the target line during a full golf swing.

Whether you are an experienced golfer or just beginning, it is important to practice good golf cours ettiquette. A good golf course lesson to remember is patience. Many golfers are slow players and if you get stuck behind a group taking way too much time to hit the ball, just relax. Perhaps they are new to the game or maybe they’re just not very good players. Instead of screaming and cursing the slow play, why not take the time to look around at the scenery. Maybe you can take a break and have yourself some water. You can always take a towel and clean off your clubs. The point of this golf lesson is to stay calm and enjoy your day on the golf course.

When I started out as a novice golfer, the Internet was already in full effect. There were golf websites online. Unless I was sitting in the waiting area of a doctor’s office, reading a golf tips magazine never crossed my mind. However, as the Internet continued to grow, more and more golf websites and blogs started appearing. At first this was a great thing, but then it got to the point where the signal to noise ratio was extremely low. Eventually I found myself going retro. I subscribe to a high profile golf tips magazine. I still frequent the blogs and the websites. However, when it comes to the golf tips magazine, I have a lot more confidence that all of the information is valid.

An excellent gift idea for any golf enthusiast would be a golf courses book. A golf courses book is a book that consolidates information for hundreds of different golf courses located across the country and the world. While one of these books can be a great piece of memorabilia, it is also quite functional and can actually improve someone’s play.

One way that a golf courses book could improve a person’s play is by giving details and tips on how to play each course. For example, one of these books could tell a golfer where to hit the ball on any given hole. This type of information could help a golfer set up the easiest possible shots and puts, which by the end of a round will shave strokes off of their score.

In my opinion, it would have to be “Ben Hogan’s 5 Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf”. This book is very useful, and a great starting point for any new golfer to examine. It’s a true classic of the genre, and I think it’s a very easy choice for the best golf book ever. I would also say that “Bobby Jones on Golf” is another wonderful choice for the beginning golfer, and should probably be tucked somewhere on any golf enthusiast’s shelf.

I can’t overemphasize the importance of taking a nice full golf swing. It’s one of the most important things you can learn as a golfer, and learning to always focus on that is one of the best ways to improve your distance and stay consistent. There are plenty of golfers out there who struggle with getting good distance on their drives, and if they just spent a little time with an instructor learning to take a full golf swing, their problems would evaporate. It’s one of those simple things that can be easy to overlook, and hard to learn. Some people take a full swing naturally, but most have to learn.

There are literally thousands of golf videos on DVD to choose from. Once a golfer finds the right video to address their needs, there is a way to get the most out of this inexpensive and effective form of training.

Portable DVD players are not expensive, and such devices allow golfers the chance to work with their video either outside or on the driving range. By actually being able to follow the instructions in real-time with a club in hand, players will be able to extract the most knowledge from their golf video tips.

Golf videos are a great way for golfers on a budget to garner useful information and thus lower their scores. Through the use of a portable DVD device, players can basically have their own private golf teacher by their side without the added pressures of an expert breathing down their neck.
