Golf Video Tips

A lot of golfers say they have problems with hooking and slicing the ball. To them, it might seem like they have a problem. To me, they’re practically experts. I wish my biggest problem was a hook or a slice. I know I could fix those problems simply by opening or closing the clubface. But my problems go much deeper. My problem is with heel shots. If you’re not familiar with a heel shot, it’s when your ball goes scurrying off to the left with no sense of direction whatsoever. More importantly, it’s embarrassing. Since I’m too embarrassed to talk to an instructor about this, I have chosen to look at golf video tips instead. I think these golf video tips have been extremely helpful. I have learned to move back in my stance and keep my weight forward. So far, this has been a successful approach.

The Full Golf Swing

In the full golf swing, almost all problems are the result of having a faulty backswing. More often than not, high handicap golfers tend to take the club too far to the inside. What this does is that it makes the swing plane too flat and around the body. As a result, the golfer ends up with the club behind him and under plane. From the top of the swing, the golfer has no choice but to reroute the club, producing an out to in swing. When this happens, the golfer will either slice or hit a pull hook, neither of which is a good result. In order to hit straight and powerful shots, the club needs to be taken back down the target line during a full golf swing.

The most important thing

Many golfers want to know what the single most important thing you can improve upon is at any given point in time. In answering those golfers, it should be noted that your golf swing plane is the factor that most closely impacts your handicap and scores in any given round. When your swing plane is on point, you will be able to consistently find the fairway. If it’s not, you will have a significant amount of trouble.

So how do you improve your golf swing plane? That depends upon what is wrong with it. Some people come over the ball, which causes a massive slice. Other people have a tendency to swing around the golf ball, which can produce a hook. The best approach is to swing straight through the ball, as this produces clear, consistent results.
