Taking a golf lesson is a necessary step if you want to be a successful golfer. The phrase ‘successful golfer’ can lead people to think of all different types of scenarios. For instance, does this pertain to a professional golfer, someone who shots under 80, someone who betters their average score every year, or something else? The answer is that it doesn’t matter who you are; you can always improve your golf game. Even the pros take golf lessons. The key is to take a lesson from the right person. You wouldn’t see a professional golfer taking lessons from a weekend warrior. When you’re in search of a golf lesson, go with a PGA golf lesson, not someone who placed an ad in the paper. This way, you will never have to worry about having made the wrong decision.

Professional golf swings vary as much as the body’s of the touring professionals who wield them. Each individual will have forms or lines unique to their body-type and instruction, though some key elements seem to cross over through many if not all the successful players. Golfers at the elite level all make fantastic, consistent contact with the ball without going over the top. The swing path of a professional golfer fires directly through what is called the “impact zone” and towards the target. Regardless of the path they may take to the top of their backswing and finishing though, professional golfers will fire their clubs down the target line while keeping their face square at impact and through contact. This consistency through the hitting zone is why so many similarly shaped divots are generated.

When there is a bunker in the center of the fairway it will be a difficult shot, even for a professional golfer. The tip you need to remember is to get the ball out quickly and safely, and placed in a suitable position for your next shot.

When you are in a bunker, and at a distance from the green, your goal will be to get out first and then advance the ball down the fairway as fast as possible and as far as possible.

Once you have assessed your position and situation then you may want to take one or two more clubs for the distance you will be traversing.

Hold the club down and move your hands a bit forward; balancing your weight at the same time with both feet on the ground, your knees are flexed and your body will be in center position.
