Finding The Perfect Golf Swing

Posted in Uncategorized on June 2nd, 2010 by admin – 1,000 Comments

Finding the perfect golf swing is something that people work on for their entire lives. Nobody is born with the perfect golf swing; rather, it is a talent that takes years to hone, and comes from hours of analyzing what works for you and what doesn’t.

The perfect golf swing is different for everyone; what works for you will likely not work for someone else, as everyone’s body is different. While using someone else’s swing for inspiration is never a bad idea, copying it outright is, and will usually lead you in the wrong direction. Make not of what works for you and what doesn’t, and hone your swing over time through trial and error, just like the pros.

Chasing the Perfect Golf Swing

Someone who has never played a round of golf can not possibly understand what is meant by a perfect golf swing. It’s not something that can be explained or that can be demonstrated. More than the successful execution of a series of movements, including proper stance, correct alignment with the ball and smooth follow through, a perfect swing is almost a spiritual experience.

When everything comes together and the face of the club connects with the ball at exactly the right speed and angle, something happens to a golfer. If he’s new at the sport, he’s hooked. It may be a long time before it happens again but he will never forget it. If he’s a veteran on the links, then it’s sweet payback for all those times when he’s prayed for that perfect golf swing but came up short.

Being a teacher is another way of being a student.

I have found that if you really want to improve your game, it’s a good idea to try giving a golf tip to someone else. When you help other people with their mistakes, you’ll often notice things that can help you in your own game. Seeing another person’s game from the outside raises your objectivity, and after a while it makes it easier to see golf in a different light. Next time you see a friend or relative struggling with something, give them a golf tip, and you may find that you learn a little something in the process. The progression from student to teacher is one of the most profound educational opportunities of all, and any golfer would be wise to take advantage of it.

Asking a golfer to choose his favorite PGA golf book is something that could be really difficult. Though most golfers and golf fans have their favorite books, many people just love anything that’s written about the game. Like with many subjects, books on golf have become quite popular and many players will pick up just about anything that’s written down on paper.

So what is the best PGA golf book out there? In reality, it is the one that’s the most fun to read for the person doing the reading. Some people get pumped about stories from golfers on tour. Some get their kicks from seeing all of the PGA courses. Whatever the case, that is the good thing about the golf book industry. It is truly a “something for everyone” type of market that is full of really good works.
